Panda Style

A clever twist on a classic drink


Crystal boba is a variation on traditional tapioca boba. It's made from agar, an algae derivative. Agar lacks tapioca's signature chewiness, but the clear squashy nuggets bring a subtle citrus flavor to table. 

The boba shop next door recently introduced me to a 50/50 mix, charmingly termed "Panda Style". It's a treat born of duality, dark and light, chewy and soft, and all around delightful.
